The lagoon I loved as a kid. I hated having to move from a small town to Calgary, Alberta, after my mom went blind when I was a child. She was no longer able to work as a nurse and headed back to university to become a social worker. I spent a lot of summers riding my bike around this lagoon and swimming in it, even though it wasn't allowed.
Now I get to paddle on it as an adult.
